Volunteer Opportunities - TOV
Tikun Olam Volunteers (TOV) strives to promote hands-on volunteering opportunities for young adults within the Montreal Jewish Community.
With the guidance of Federation CJA professionals, TOV gives young adults the opportunity to support those in need within the Jewish and the greater Montreal communities.

Past and ongoing successful TOV programs include:

Shoreline Cleanup

Teaming up with TEVA Quebec, our volunteers gathered at the Lachine Canal to help pick clean up the shoreline. Donning plastic gloves and garbage bags in hand, this initiative brought communities together to achieve a true understanding of the impact we have on the environment both globally and locally.

Serving meals at Le Café

Le Café offers much needed relief to the most vulnerable members of our community by serving over 21,000 complimentary hot, nutritious kosher meals in a comfortable and welcoming environment annually, including more than 1,300 meals to children. Our volunteers serve meals along with friendly conversation and put smiles on the faces of all that come!

JEM Workshop 3rd Seder

Entering its 19th year, this seder brings together YAD FedNext volunteers and employees from the JEM Workshop. The JEM Workshop is designed for members of our community, who have intellectual, emotional or physical difficulties. Everyone looks forward to the JEM seder, which seated more than 60 people last year!

Hands-on Family Mitzvah Day

Family Day happens twice a year, featuring hands-on activities that teach kids about tzedakah and giving back to those less fortunate in our community.

Pack It Up

A project which collects gently used or new school supplies which are then given to hundreds of young children in need at the beginning of each school year.

JEM Workshop Chanukah Art

A Chanukah-inspired art activity organized for the JEM Workshop employees.
